Question #13: “Where is one supposed to look while making
the rukūʽ in prayer?”
Shaykh al-Albānī answers:
“There isn’t any place that is assigned for him to look at,
as is the case with regard to his state of standing and his
state of sitting for the tashahhud. So while he is standing,
he directs his sight to the place of his prostration, and
while he is sitting during the tashahhud, he directs his
sight to his (right index) finger. As for while he is making
the rukūʽ, then there isn’t a fixed place that we were
commanded to look at, so therefore the matter is
unrestricted.”
